France has today conducted an operation to return French children and mothers who were in camps in north-east Syria to France.
The operation enabled the return of 10 minors and 3 adult women.
The minors were handed over to child welfare services and will receive ongoing medical and social support. The adults were handed over to the relevant judicial authorities.
France thanks the Syrian transitional authorities and the local administration in north-east Syria, which made this operation possible.
